Actually US needs innovation and good talent. Not all PhD are that extra ordinary.
One goes through the motions of adding incremental knowledge (that quality also depends of the reputation of the university). Most PhDs struggle from one post doc to another.

As mentioned in the above post thye don't care about your dress code. They rather care whether your company is a genuine company and pays you the salary as mentioned on your H1B LCA promptly (~.. you pay the taxes to the Govt :) )

So then maybe the wait is only the 3 months (90 days) that Sen Sessions wishes to impose, correct?
I just cannot recollect where I had read that the law has to be published somewhere and there is 90 days delay (when someone can comment if necessary) and only then it becomes a law. I could be absolutely wrong though
Also, Sessions was able to get an amendment passed last time since SJC was in a tearing hurry. That might not be the case this time and they might want to implement this bill soon to 'stem the flow across the borders'. Personally I cannot wait for some new bill to take effect.

Yes I always thought DV lottery was a scam which does nothing to increase diversity.
Yearly 50,000 lottery winners without any skill requirements get a GC, Also only about 50,000 high skilled immigrants with their family get a GC.
great so these two are equally important, lottery and high skills.
Of course maybe EB2 and EB3 got their degrees and US jobs by luck and gambling without any skills.
Life is also always about both skills and luck
so it makes sense there should be a 50,000 Green card lottery too.

I have heard lawyers saying in this forum itself that it can be a problem if the previous employer revokes the approved I-140, irrespective whether it was fraud or not. I don't have the links saved for that discussion, otherwise I would have pasted it.

I dont think it is reasonable amount if it is 15k then why the employer will bother for a H1 in the first place in this volatile economy...I think it is around 4000k etc

Public letters from these senators to the CEOs of our companies were essentially a publicity stunt to win votes and not a constructive way to find out if there is a problem and how it can be fixed. So in the same vein the NASSCOM reply is a broad response with good subtle hints that mixing immigration with India's business interests is not a good idea.
